Biometric is about to change the physical security as we know it, especially in all refering opening systems.

But how does Biometric work? Biometric uses sensors connected to software and database to scan not only physical features but also patterns of behavior. The user is scanned and the scanned individual attributes are compared with those recorded in the database, unitll identification of the user. So the opening is allowed by physical features and not knowledges of the user. Biometric can detect fingerprints, eye, iris, face, behavior sucha as pressure on a button, handwriting, walking patterns, etc. As for former opening systems,  Biometric is not a foolproof system as for example a cut or a spot on a finger can alter the fingerprint scanning, or cold temperatures can alter our voice in the case of identification by voice. But no system is really safe from occasional errors. Mixed solutions combining classical systems and biometrics for opening controls are a very good option.

Ferrimax offers solutions combining both key and biometric Identification (palm or facial identification), and also with remote control on devices.

The decision to invest in classical, biometric or combined systems belongs to the customer. All options are equally valid and reliable. For more information about Ferrimax Biometric Security .
